Deaf Church

Maidenhead Deaf Church

A new Deaf Church was started in July 2005 serving the needs of Deaf and hard of hearing people in the Maidenhead area and beyond.  A service is held at the Good Shepherd every 4th Sunday of the month at 3 pm, followed by light refreshments.

Services are signed (with voice-over) and are usually led by the Revd Katie Tupling and the Revd Vera Hunt.  Katie is Diocesan Disability Adviser and both are Chaplains amongst deaf and hard of hearing people in Oxford Diocese. The service is usually a communion service with hymns, but occasionally other forms of worship are used.  All are welcome.
