Luncheon Club

The Luncheon Club meets every Tuesday at Cox Green Community Centre between 12 noon and 2pm. Its purpose is to provide a good quality meal for those who are elderly, infirm or suffering through bereavement. A two course meal is provided followed by a cup of tea or coffee and transport to the Centre can be arranged. The licensed bar is open before the meal and there is usually a raffle.

The service is run entirely by volunteers and there is a rota of people laying tables, preparing vegetables, cooking, serving food and at the bar, washing up, as well as those who drive the members to the Club.

If you know of anyone who would benefit from being a member of the Lunch Club or if you are able to help with any of the above tasks, contact the Secretary/Administrator, Ruby Doughty via the Church Office (details below).

A short service of hymns, readings and prayers is held once a month (usually on 4th Tuesday of the month) at 12.30 pm to which Luncheon Club members are warmly invited. The service lasts for 20 minutes to give members plenty of time to be ready for their lunch at 1pm. For more information, please contact the Church Office on 01628-632567.
