Introduction

‘Emmaus’ - The Way of Faith

A course for anyone who would like to explore the Christian faith

There are times in our lives when we need to stop and consider where our lives are leading us. We want to ask questions, to explore the meaning of life and our relationship with God. Sometimes it is because of the joys or sorrows in our lives like the birth of a child or the death of someone close to us. Sometimes it is because we want to change our lives for the better. Inside us there is a voice that urges us to explore. Maybe we want to be open to new ideas and new beginnings. Perhaps we want to learn more about the Christian faith or we might be considering Baptism or Confirmation for ourselves or for our children. Maybe we just want to move on in our faith.

Emmaus offers an opportunity to explore the Christian faith with others in a relaxed and informal setting. We welcome anyone to join us.  It is particularly appropriate for anyone who wishes to find out more about the Christian faith, for those considering Baptism or Confirmation, and for anyone who feels in need of a ‘refresher’ course.

During our sessions we look at topics including: God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, being a Christian, and much more. Each session begins with tea and coffee, and lasts no more than 1½ hours.

Details of the next Emmaus Course will appear here when available, for outline details of expected course content see the course programme.
