Little Fishes

Little Fishes

The Church of the Good Shepherd invites you to come along to our nursery service, ‘Little Fishes’.   We meet at Cox Green Community Centre on Wednesdays at 9.30a.m. during school term time.

Little Fishes is suitable for parents, carers and their babies and children.  There are toys and activities, squash and biscuits for the children and tea and coffee for the adults. This is followed by action songs and rhymes, music and stories to learn more about God’s love and the world around us.

At special times of the year the Church of the Good Shepherd holds Festival services and Fun Days for children of all ages.   Children need to be pre-registered for these fun days.   Forms are available from the Church and Centre Offices.

After the service, we serve coffee and squash and have toys available for the children. Older children are welcome to come during the school holidays.

On the first Sunday of each month at 10am there is an All Age Service that is a shorter and simpler service for worshippers of all ages.

On other Sundays, children are welcome at our 10am Parish Eucharist where we provide crèche facilities and ‘happy bags’

On these Sundays our special group for children, from 3 to 15 years, Sunday am! begins at 10am. These are Christian teaching groups (Sunday School) according to age.   If you are unable to accompany your child, he/she may be left in the care of the Sunday am! staff and collected at 11.15am.
